BUSH COMPARED TO HITLER

Now there is a GREAT intro to a blog entry. As wacky as it sounds, it is true AND it came from a college professor! Kevin Barrett (hopefully no relation to the great Chicago Cubs current catcher Mike Barrett), a part-time instructor @ UW-Madison, wrote an essay comparing Bush to Hitler and believes the US was the culprit of 9/11 and that the US 'has made up Islam vs Christians' in order to justify increases in defense spending.

"Like Bush and the neocons, Hitler and the Nazis inaugurated their new era by destroying an architectural monument and blaming its destruction on their designated enemies," he wrote. Barrett said Tuesday he was comparing the attacks to the burning of the German parliament building, the Reichstag, in 1933, a key event in the establishment of the Nazi dictatorship.

The usual rhetoric of 'he should be fired' is apparently making the rounds in and around the area of the school. I, however, do not think he should be fired. Let him believe it; just don't send your kids to that school or certaintly do not sign up for ANY class he teaches. What really gives me the red ass about this story is that people actually believe this conspiracy stuff. This guy actually believes that WE blew up the WTC? So, what, we made those video tapes and put on some good middle-eastern accents? And now the US g'vt is 'fabricating Islam vs Christians' to justify the defense budget? You have got to be kidding me! So, in other words, HAMAS/PALESTINE/TALIBAN/AL'QEDA is all a farce. The US is 'making it up' so they can get off on deploying our troops all over the world. Yeah. OK. Sounds plausible.....if you a thorazine addict......
